Etihad Cabin Crew Assessment Day

We all got into a big conference room. We where welcomed by recruiters. We got a short introduction.

They asked us to line up to give them our CV and 2 papers you ad to fill in before coming to the AD. I got to give my CV thanked her for her time, then she asked me to show her my hands and then she asked me to do the reach test and went back to my seat.
Your CV must be perfect, phrases such as education title and the name of your work position must stand out.

Etihad Cabin Crew English TestThey wanted to start with an English test as soon as possible. The English test took only 15 minutes. You must be very quick, no time to hesitate, but it was simple (basic). After the test we had an other little test. In groups of two or 3 we had to present each other (10 sec.) in front of everybody. Two recruiters were next to us taking notes while we spoke.
We then got a presentation about Abu Dhabi.

They started to say numbers without telling us if we got through or not, my number was said, we were asked to follow a recruiter, the others had to stay in the big room. Only once we arrived in an other room, they told us we were successful,

We then had a group test. 5 people/group, we all were around a round table. From the 50 people who were left. First 25 people did the test and then the other 25. During this test a recruiter stayed the entire time at our table. Our exercise was to make up a restaurant Menu for an 5 star Italian restaurant, in our group there was a person applying to be an Inflight-Chef, so he was very helpful to create the Menu. We got 15 minutes.
Stay calm and try to communicate like you always do with your friends and don't interrupt if the other is talking ! It is so important for cabin crew to listen to each other !!! believe me they are watching if you do so. I'm a good listener. And just have fun, don't take it to serious, it is not the result that counts, it is the way you interact with others. And don't forget to smile.
Me and the rest waited outside, so the other half could do their exercise. Then we all got to the big room again.
Second elimination. Once again they started to say numbers, those numbers had to follow one of the recruiters. My number was not said. Then they announced that we got through to the Final interview.

We got an other presentation about the work for Etihad. We then all went through some papers.

They helped us fill in the papers we were asked to bring.

Etihad Cabin Crew Final Interview QuestionsEach candidate had the time of 20 minutes for is interview. Mine was about 25 minutes. I was welcomed by two very nice recruiters

• First they asked me to give them my papers.

• They asked me what a flight attendant is supposed to do.

• They also asked me about my experience.

• And about a time I had to deal with a customer who wasn't pleased with a certain situation.

• Then they also asked how I was going to deal with the fact that you'll have to live in Abu Dhabi and how you would communicate with your family and friends.

What to remember :
• Make a good Resume/CV Don't compress everything into one page, do 2 pages if needed.

• When you go to your Open day or Assessment Day, go in a good business attire. Girls put on some make up and attach your hair in a bun.

• Make a good first impression.

• SMILE

• Be enthusiastic while doing your group exercises. Don't focus on results, focus on having good communication skills. HAVE FUN !

• Don't interrupt people while they are talking. I insist on this one !
